River Islands Riptide Youth Football & Cheer. We are a community nonprofit, all volunteer organization whose mission is to provide quality recreation and skill development in the game of football and the sport of cheerleading for all youth ages 6 years - 14 years old. River Islands Youth Football Organization is a non-profit organization aimed at giving the youth in our area -Lathrop, Manteca, Banta & Tracy- a chance to participate in an all-play football and cheerleading program. Our focus is on helping our youth build character, sportsmanship, self-confidence and learn responsibility & teamwork in a competitive environment while gaining a strong sense of community. RIYFO provides a structured, safe, and secure environment for the children to learn these life skills. ? Bringing our youth closer together through common interest in sportsmanship and competition. ? Instill the values of education and importance of behaving at school and home. ? Acquaint the players with the fundamentals of the game and its rules. ? Teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and accountability, build character and discipline. ? Keep our community youth busy and away from situations that lead to bad behavior.
